Talent Planning and Acquisition – also known as Functional Area Two on both the PHR and the SPHR exams – focuses on staffing, recruiting, interviewing, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action and various other core areas of HR management.
Functional Area Two assists HR professionals, who seek to become credentialed, in gaining a better understanding of case law, federal legislation, and government regulations.
Sixteen percent of both the PHR AND SPHR exams focus on the areas of Talent Planning and Acquisition. These responsibilities provide HR professionals with the opportunity to have a long-term impact on an organization. The nature of this impact, however, depends in large part on the way in which the HR professional fulfills these responsibilities.
In Section Two of this course, you will review a great deal of the very important information properly credentialed HR professionals must understand and command in order to be productive members of their HR team.
Upon passing the final exam at the end of this section you will be awarded a certificate for 4.25 Recertification Credits.
